On Saturday, November 16, 2019, members of our unit took advantage of the friendly invitation of corporate firefighters from \u0160koda Auto in Mlad\u00e1 Boleslav. The subject of the meeting was not only a tour of the fire station of the company fire brigade, but also training in rescue on \u0160koda cars. The aim of the training was to become familiar with modern safety features used on new \u0160koda cars. These elements can save lives but also make it much more difficult for firefighters to rescue a person trapped in a car in a traffic accident. Therefore, it is necessary that firefighters not only have the latest equipment that is able to cut the rigid bodies of cars, but also have a good overview of the location of airbags and other safety features in the vehicle. If they are not activated in a road accident, care should be taken not to activate them during rescue operations, which could endanger the rescued person or the rescuers themselves.<\/p>\n
