On Friday afternoon we were sent to a forest fire between the villages of Domoradice and Svařeň. Upon arrival at the site, several streams of water were drawn through which the fire was located. Subsequently, monitoring was performed with the help of a thermal camera and extinguishing hidden hearths. The whole intervention was complicated by the fact that the fire broke out on a steep slope and spread quickly thanks to the strong wind. The operation ended around four o’clock in the afternoon. In the evening, the unit returned to the site to inspect the fire. We intervened on the spot together with the HZS unit from the Vysoké Mýto station and also with voluntary units from Luže, Zámrsk and the company Iveco Czech Republic, a.s ..
