On Friday, shortly after noon, we were sent to one of Vysokomýtské’s companies, where a dangerous substance was supposed to leak into the air. Upon arrival at the site, the survey revealed that the HZS unit from the Vysoké Mýto station and the Iveco Czech Republic, a.s. A closer inspection of the site revealed that nitric acid had leaked. Fortunately, the acid spilled into a sump, where it could be safely diluted with water and disposed of. The whole intervention took place in disposable chemical suits and breathing techniques. There were no injuries to the event.
