While part of the unit intervened in sunken cars between the villages of Řepníky and Střemošice, the other part was sent to Vraclavská Street in Vysoké Mýto, where telecommunication wires were torn down. A survey of the scene revealed that the truck driver did not realize that the mechanical arm behind the cab protruded so much that he could pull down the insulated wires when driving under power lines. As a result, three concrete pillars fell on the road like dominoes, carrying low-voltage lines. “One of the pillars fell directly on the parked vehicle, where fortunately no one was sitting at the time.” Fortunately, the menacing-looking accident went unnoticed. The unit secured the site of the intervention and summoned a CEZ and telecommunications employee on the spot. During the accident investigation, the Police carried out traffic management on the road.
