On the last day of January, shortly before the morning, we went to Choc, where a cotton fire occurred in a spinning machine. Upon arrival, the entire lower floor of the building was smoked. That’s why all the intervention had to take place in the breathing technique. The bouncing cotton was gradually removed from the machine and, with the help of the trolleys, weaved out of the building where it was dug. After all the cotton was removed, the machine was cooled and the building was ventilated. The interference was terminated before seven o’clock in the morning. On the ground, the units from the first level of the fire alarm, including the HZS unit from the Vysoké Mýto station and then the volunteer units from Chocna, Brandýs nad Orlicí and Vysoký Mýt, intervened on the site. Due to the large consumption of respiratory equipment, a special anti-gaseous vehicle from the station Ústí nad Orlicí was also called in the place. This car is used to replace and refill the pressure cylinders directly at the point of intervention.
