This year’s World First Aid Day took place on Tuesday, September 9, 2019. It is announced annually by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Approximately 170 national Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies around the world are participating in this event promoting the importance of first aid knowledge. As every year, our unit together with a professional unit from Vysoké Mýto took part in this event, which took place on Vysoké Mýto Square. Among other things, the medical rescue service of the Pardubice Region, the Police of the Czech Republic and the city police were on display. Also, everyone could try the difficulty of cardiopulmonary resuscitation on a manikin or how to proceed in the treatment of various injuries.
